What is a Point System?
The Point system lets us track your involvement in PRSSA each semester.
Here is the break down:
PRSSA Fall 2017 Point System
13 Meetings x 2 = 26
3 Networking Nights x 4 = 12
Homecoming Tailgate = 10
Causeway Classic Tailgate = 10
Gala x 25 = 25
Committee Involvement x 10 = 10
Nationals x 25 = 25
2 Fundraising Nights x 4 = 8
Agency Tours x 10 = 10
Total amount is subject to change.
Number of Points needed for a Stole: 40 Points.
Number of Points needed to run for an Executive Board position: 50 Points.
Are you a Graduating Senior?
Did someone say stoles?
Yes stoles are the thing to have your graduating semester. To receive a PRSSA stole you must earn a minimum of 40 points during your last semester before graduation. It may take some effort but the experience you will get out of PRSSA participation will help develop your P.R. and professional skills.
Do you want to be on Executive Board?
Yes points matter here too. In order to run for an Executive Board position any semester you must obtain a minimum of 50 points.
Why do you need a minimum of 50 points?
Each Executive Board position requires a lot of hard work and dedication. In order to run for an Executive Board position one must be an active PRSSA member. As an active member the various projects you will work on in committees will build a foundation for your skill set. This skill set is vital for all members who would like a spot on PRSSA Executive Board.
