Fall 2020 Executive Board
Rachael is wrapping up her time here at Sac State, graduating with her Communication Studies degree with an emphasis in Public Relations. This is also Rachael’s third semester with PRSSA, with two semesters serving on the executive board first as Secretary and now as President/Editor-in-Chief.
During her first semester with PRSSA, Rachael learned a great deal about the field of PR. Conferences and meetings were her source of knowledge as well as a source for building connections through networking and friendships.
Rachael looks forward to being club president so she can give members a similar, yet better, experience with the club. She has made it her goal to make Fall 2020 semester one of positivity and diversity.
Never hesitate to approach or reach out to Rachael. As the club’s president, she is always happy to chat or lend a hand!
Director of Digital Affairs
Excell is in her third year at Sacramento State and is studying both PR and environmental studies. Her long-term goal is to work in the non-profit sector, ideally with an organization specializing in sustainability.
Excell is currently employed as a shift supervisor for a restaurant in Sacramento where her communication skills are her most beneficial asset! This is her second semester being involved with this chapter’s executive board and has plenty of experience juggling personal and professional social media pages.
Excell thanks her membership with PRSSA for connecting her with valuable resources and experience. She is excited to give back to the organization that has already given her so much!
Cassie Kendall is going into her third year at Sacramento State University, she is currently studying Communication with a focus in Public Relations and obtaining her minor in Marketing. Cassie hopes to earn her Master's Degree in Communication and work as an event coordinator for the Golden One Center.
Cassie currently works as a Barista at Starbucks in Fair Oaks and enjoys serving her community one cup of coffee at a time. Outside of school, studying and working Cassie plays an active role in her community by volunteering in the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce.She is currently sitting on the Fair Oaks Youth Outreach (FOYO) board as the outreach committee member. FOYO focuses on getting more youth involvement in the community through community service organized events.
This is Cassie’s second semester in PRSSA and she is extremely excited to represent the organization as Vice President. Cassie is looking forward to a great year filled with positivity and memorable events to not only help aid her in the professional world but life itself.
Director of Records
Cesar Espinoza is working towards earning his bachelor’s degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Cesar hopes to work in media relations for one of the local sports teams, or his favorite team in any sport, the Las Vegas Raiders.
Cesar currently works in the California Attorney General’s office as a Student Assistant in the Press Office. Cesar enjoys playing video games and listening to audiobooks and podcasts in his free time. He loves sci-fi and fantasy games, books, shows, movies, anything and everything. One of Cesar’s goals he hopes to accomplish is finding the “perfect asada taco.”
This is Cesar’s second semester in PRSSA and his first serving on the executive board. He cannot wait to face this unique semester with its new challenges and provide every PRSSA member with a memorable semester!
Juan Gonzalez is in his last year at Sacramento State and is studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Juan’s dream job would be to work for a cosmetics company marketing department or being their director of social media.
Juan currently volunteers for DataReady DFW, a non-profit organization that helps spread the importance of data literacy. His role in the organization is to make graphics to be posted on their social media accounts as well as scheduling when content should be posted. When he is not volunteering or doing homework, Juan enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and going out dancing.
This is Juan’s second semester in PRSSA and his first time being on the executive board. He is looking forward to stepping out his comfort zone by being on the e-board and showing other introvert members they can do it too.
