Spring 2020 Executive Board
President and District Ambassador of the North Pacific District
Milan is a senior looking forward to earning his bachelor's degree this semester! He has been in PRSSA for over a year now, and he can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions of his college career. PRSSA got Milan out of his comfort zone and allowed him to make long lasting connections -that can even lead to jobs later down the line!
Milan is taking on both roles as president of our chapter and continuing his role last semester as District Ambassador for the North Pacific District. The North Pacific District includes parts of CA and NV, OR, WA, UT, AK, ID, and MT. This roll as District Ambassador means Milan has obligations on the national level. Milan helps the other chapters become the best they can be!
Milan also studied abroad last year in England! He is your go-to for questions on places to visit in Europe!
As your president, Milan cannot wait to get started and show you all what we have planned for this semester!
Saniya is in her last semester at Sacramento State and will soon graduate with a bachelor's degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.
Outside of PRSSA, Saniya also works as the Graphic Design and Marketing Student Assistant for the Centers for Diversity and Inclusion here on campus, which includes the Multi-Cultural Center, Pride, and the Women's Resource Center.
During her free time, you can find Saniya at the WELL, either doing yoga or hanging out in the grass reading a book or watching TV shows.
Saniya has built so many connections through PRSSA, and it has given her the confidence to network with people in various fields of communications. She is honors to be part of so many communities here on campus. She cannot wait to see how the skills she is acquiring here will help her in the professional world.
As the editor-in-chief, she would like for this chapter to be a safe space for all. She is available to discuss any ideas, comments, or concerns at any time!
Luis is currently in his final semester here at Sacramento State with a major in PR and a minor in marketing. He has been in PRSSA for a year and a half, and he has loved every second of this organization!
Being part of PRSSA has allowed Luis to meet professionals he would have never met before, made some lifelong friends, and learned more about himself than he ever could have imagined when he first joined.
The best way he can describe himself is by saying he is a giant nerd (in the best way possible)!! He loves all things movies, TV, and video games. If you need recommendations, he is your guy!
Luis is incredibly excited for this semester. He is making some fantastic events for everyone look forward to!

She is also gaining valuable knowledge as the Outreach and Event Organizer intern for the NorCal STEM Education Foundation. There, Excell assists the Fair Coordinator in special projects, research assignments, and administrative duties.
Excell thanks her membership with PRSSA for connecting her with valuable resources and experience. She is excited to give back to the organization that has already given her so much!
Rachael is going into her final year as a PR major. Always having an interest in PR, it wasn't until attending International Conference last fall that Rachael discovered her passion for crisis communications.
Off campus, Rachael is a promotional products intern with Visit California. All the products Rachael works with help accomplish VCA's mission to increase tourism in our great state!
School and work aside, Rachael uses whatever amount of free time she has studying wine. She has her level 1 certification in wine from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. If you have wine questions, Rachael has answers!
Rachael is has been in PRSSA for two semesters, this semester being her first on E-board. She has learned a lot along the way about the profession, future opportunities, and gained skillsets that will help her in her future career. Not only that, but the friendships and connections she has made during her time as a PRSSA member are ones that will last long-term.
Do not hesitate to reach out to her!
Director of Finance
Maxwell (Maxx) is 24 years old heading into his final semester at Sacramento State. He transferred here from Santa Barbara City College.
Maxx's hobbies include traveling, reading, cooking, hiking, and fishing! He is quite an active person, so it's rare that he isn't engaged in at least one of those activities.

PRSSA National Vice President of Career Services
Jacqueline O. Barraza, also known as Jackie, is the PRSSA National Vice President of Career Services for the 2019 - 2020 term. She is a senior majoring in communication studies with a concentration in public relations. Jackie plans to graduate in May 2020 and will be attending the Newhouse graduate program at Syracuse to further her studies in public relations. In her free time, Jackie enjoys attending pop-up art museums whether it be in Los Angeles or San Francisco. She also enjoys spending time with her friends whether it be staying in to watch movies or hike outdoors.
Jackie joined PRSSA in fall 2017 as a communication studies major but after joining the chapter, she was quickly influenced to study public relations. She believes that PRSSA is a vital organization to gain membership from, as the experience and skills gained will last for the long run. Regional and international conferences are her favorite events to attend as a member because this is where she networks and creates lasting relationships with other PRSSA members from all over the state. Overall Jackie is excited to be working with the executive board this semester and hopes to positively impact members within the chapter.
