1.) Create a simple and consistent Username.
Instagram can easily be used to reach thousands of people, but if the username is hard to find or remember it can be completely useless. A username that is too long, difficult to read, or doesn’t match your brand will make the Instagram account less trustworthy and reliable. Keeping your username short and simple is a great practice to continue building your brand through social media.
Hashtags are used to keep the conversation flowing. A universal hashtag related to your business will allow people to search for a business easier. Think of hashtags as clothes in a hamper. Some clothes may be popular while others may be unique, but the more clothes in the hamper there are, the harder it is to manage all of them. Keeping to one main hashtag is important because not only is it easier to manage, it’s easier to find.
Social media is supposed to be social. A great way to get more activity through social media is to interact with others. Successful businesses on social media don’t just post content and wait for the community to react. They like photos that are related to their brand. They comment on content to get others to notice their page. They encourage the community to create content with them to build a stronger brand.
4.) Unique Content
The difference between the customers and you is that you’ll have access to unique behind the scenes content. Content that is unique and have never been seen before will grab more attention than other content. Use concept of being behind the scenes to your advantage whenever possible. Giving your audience the feel of a backstage pass will make you superior to other content creators.
5.) Interlink Instagram Photos
Interlinking Instagram photos through not only other social media platforms but websites as well can truly be beneficial. Using photos from the community to show off a product is easy with Instagram and will show the audience how others are using the product.
